Supporting the GO Run For Fun Foundation
Our aim is to inspire primary age children to enjoy running for fun – for now and for the future – as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.
Events are all-inclusive, working closely in partnership with councils, schools, sports clubs & parents. The programme has already been a tremendous success and has reached over 290,000 children so far.
We have developed a series of inspiring educational resources for schools and parents, to teach children about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and encourage positive habits from their earliest years. Our 12 animations, featuring GO Run For Fun mascot Dart, can be watched on Dart TV.
Extending the reach
The GO Run For Fun Charitable Foundation has been launched to facilitate support from government and the private sector, to help grow the campaign.
The Foundation has, amongst others, the backing of Lord Coe, Brendan Foster, Colin Jackson, Daley Thompson, and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and aligns with the government’s “Moving More, Living More” and “Change for Life” initiatives. Meet our Trustees and Ambassadors.
In order to continue and grow the programme, the Foundation requires additional funding to keep events free and inclusive. Beyond this, we welcome the partnership and expertise of external organisations to achieve maximum impact through our work. The sky is the limit!
Can You Help Us Grow?
- INEOS provided seed funding to the GO Run For Fun campaign, amounting to £1.5m spread over its first three years. This allows us to provide the fundamentals of our fantastic campaign- although already we find it challenging to meet the huge (and growing!) demand for our free events.
- Now also incorporating a fun interactive educational programme, there is great scope for our work to grow and inspire thousands more children towards active lifestyles- though for this we need your help!
We would be delighted to hear if you or your organisation would consider sponsoring an event
