GO Run For Fun is a national programme of free fun runs for children between the ages of 5 – 10 to promote fun running as part of a more active lifestyle.
Our aim is to inspire primary age children to enjoy running for fun- for now and for the future- as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.
Events are all inclusive, working closely in partnership with councils, schools, sports clubs & parents.
The programme has already been a tremendous success, and has reached over 170,000 children so far. We are now working to develop a series of inspiring educational resources for schools, to teach children about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and encourage positive habits from their earliest years. Our first videos, featuring GO Run For Fun mascot Dart, can be watched here.
The GO Run For Fun Charitable Foundation has been launched to facilitate support from government and the private sector, to help grow the campaign.
The Foundation has, amongst others, the backing of Lord Coe, Brendan Foster, Colin Jackson, Daley Thompson, and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and aligns with the government’s “Moving More, Living More” and “Change for Life” initiatives. Meet our Trustees and Ambassadors here.
As we are growing, creating more educational resources and staging higher impact events, we are seeking support to take the campaign to the next level. Can you help?
